Live Like Sam is a Summit County-based nonprofit that aims to empower adolescents to take charge of their well-being and live authentic lives. Our organization is motivated by the inspiring life and untimely death of Sam Jackehthal, yet has grown to engage this generation of youth in developing both their leadership and well-being skills.
We believe strongly in leadership development. Our aim is to help students become the most authentic version of themselves and develop healthy tools for well-being. While the majority of our programming focuses on mental well-being and positive development for teens and adolescents, we begin to introduce these tools to the younger generation through shorter modules and conversations.

Thrive
Grades 6-12 | Summit County & Wasatch County, UT
Thrive is a 6-week virtual youth well-being skills program developed by Webewell in partnership with Live Like Sam. Registration is FREE due to generous grants and donations to Live Like Sam. As a bonus, students receive an $80 research stipend after completing the program.
Students who have participated in the program have experienced decreases in symptoms of depression and anxiety and experienced increases in youth quality of life and well-being. In addition, parents, students, and counselors have given feedback that this program is uplifting and provides the necessary skills and coping mechanisms to help our youth improve their well-being and live with purpose and intention.
Life Skills & Character Development

Each child deserves the opportunity to live a vibrant life. Live Like Sam teaches students mindfulness techniques and empowers them to take control of their well-being using fun interactive activities that promote youth character development and improves mental health in schools.
