Live Like Sam empowers youth to take charge of their well-being and live authentically. Inspired by the legacy of local Parkite Sam Jackenthal, we offer youth programs that promote positive mental health, leadership development, and character building. We’re passionate about creating a thriving community where all young people have the tools and support they need to reach their full potential.
About the Role:
As a Part-Time (20-30 hr/wk) Program Coordinator, you will be vital in supporting our impactful programs for K-12 students. You will have the opportunity to wear many hats and contribute to diverse initiatives, including:
- Program Outreach: Assist with developing and implementing outreach strategies to promote Live Like Sam’s programs to schools, community organizations, and youth groups. Create and distribute engaging content across various platforms to raise awareness and increase program participation.
- Facilitating workshops and activities: Engage students in our Well-Being, Life Skills & Character Development Programming
- Program administration: Contribute to administrative tasks related to program logistics, data collection, and communication.
- Community engagement: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, educators, and community partners to expand our reach and impact.
- Event and tabling support: Represent Live Like Sam at community events, school functions, and outreach initiatives, raising awareness and generating excitement for our programs.
- Additional responsibilities: Support special projects, fundraising initiatives, and other needs as they arise.
- Hybrid work environment: Work from home & engage in in-person meetings and programming.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Passionate about youth well-being and committed to supporting positive development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to connect and build rapport with students, educators, and community members.
- Spanish language is a plus.
- Experience working with youth in educational or community settings is a plus.
- Familiarity with youth development principles and practices is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in education, health, and well-being is a plus.
- Creative and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn and contribute diverse perspectives.
- Event planning experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite. Proficiency with spreadsheets and must be able to produce reports with minimal guidance.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends for LLS events (community events, Gala, etc.)
